The differences in the range of the  hairpin resulted from routine revisions, adjusting the marks to rhythmic structures or beams – in GE1 (→GE2,EE,FE) on the left-hand side, while in FESB also on the right-hand side. The absence of the mark in GE3 is an oversight by the engraver. In the main text we reproduce the mark of A.

In the main text we reproduce the notation of A, emphasising, as it seems, the syncopated quavers in the top voice. The shifted marks in the editions are gathered around the beginnings of the even triplets, which could not have been Chopin's intention – marks of such range cannot concern the top voice, next to which they were written.

The missing dynamic hairpins under the L.H. part are almost certainly a mistake by the engraver of GE1. It is difficult to determine the exact range of the marks in A, since their arms are of different length.

AsI includes different dynamic indications here, describing an earlier concept, changed in the stage of writing A. We move the mark in bar 364 between the staves, since it certainly concerns both parts and was written over the top stave due to lack of space between the staves. In GE1 the hairpin was slightly widened or moved, generally adjusting it to individual beats. This notation was repeated in the remaining editions, in the case of FE with a mistake, while in the case of GE3 with a further shift.
