The rest added in GE ensures the formal correctness of the rhythmic notation on the top stave, on which the sources, in addition to the R.H. part, also wrote down the L.H. crotchets on the 2nd and 3rd beats of the bar. Chopin, however, generally avoided writing rests that are not necessary for an unequivocal reading of the text.

In FE1 (→GE1), in the version with 4 flats in the key signature, there is no  lowering G to G. It is probably an oversight by the engraver of FE1 or by Chopin himself in [A]. The flat was added in GE2 (→GE3).
