If we were to take into account the pedalling of the entire Mazurka, the absence of  in FE (→GE1) must be considered an oversight. It was added in GE2 (→GE3) and EEW.

The pianistically unjustified absence of accurate pedal markings in FE (→GE1) in these bars points to likely inaccuracy of notation. One of the reasons could be the lack of space at the bottom of the page (in FE and in the remaining editions bar 72 opens the last line of the text). In EEW and GE2 (→GE3) pedal marks were added, arbitrary and completely misconceived. In the main text we suggest an addition taking into account both the harmonic course and the dramatic, culminant nature of this phrase.
