The earlier version of FCI allows us to trace the process of enhancing the details (carried out by Chopin):

  • the bass sequence in b. 54 begins only just from the 3rd quaver; the C-c octave is not repeated; R.H. chords are also changed accordingly;
  • in b. 54 there is c2 instead of b1 and d2 instead of e2;
  • the shape of the melody in the 2nd half of b. 55 and the 1st half of b. 56 was changed;
  • the B bass note is not repeated at the beginning of b. 56, in which the accompaniment consists of 6 identical chords.
