b. 76

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

No marking in A1 (→FEEE)

in GE

..

The  indication was added by Chopin in the proofreading of GE1 or in [A2]. The notation of A1 (→FEEE) suggests a possibly similar effect through the missing beam on the 1st beat of the bar.

b. 78

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

No indication in sources

[cresc.] suggested by the editors

..

In the main text we suggest adding a cresc. marking after b. 62, with which the discussed bar is supposed to be identical. Since Chopin added cresc. in b. 62, its absence here is most probably an overlooked correction of one of a few analogous places, a frequent phenomenon in Chopin's works.

b. 81-82

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

No markings in A1 (→FEEE)

cresc. in GE

..

Just like in b. 65-66, in the main text we give the cresc. indication in b. 81 and  in b. 82, added by Chopin probably in the proofreading of GE1 instead of the removed accents on the 3rd beat of those bars.
