b. 42-46

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

No ornaments in A1 (→FEEE)

Mordents in GE

..

Just like in b. 11 and 15, it is uncertain whether the mordents in b. 42 and 46 were added by Chopin already in [A2] or only just in the proofreading of GE.

b. 54

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

in A1 (→FEEE)

Grace notes in GE

..

Just like in b. 23, in the main text we adopt the notation of the principal source, i.e. GE, undoubtedly repeated after [A2].

b. 61-62

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

2 "vertical" slurs in A1 & GE1

Conventional slur in FE (→EE)

2 conventional slurs

..

Both the absence of a slur next to the grace note in b. 61 and reproducing the slur in b. 62 as a conventional mark, combining the grace note with the top (g1) and not bottom (c1) note of the quaver, must be a mistake and inaccuracy of FE (→EE). It is also GE2 that features conventional slurs in both places. In the main text we give the compliant notation of A1 and GE2, in which the slurs most probably indicate an arpeggio: .

b. 63

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

No arpeggio signs in A1 (→FEEE)

Arpeggio signs in GE

..

Chopin added the arpeggios in the proofreading of GE1 (→GE2) or wrote them still in [A2]. The same applies to b. 79.

b. 65

composition: Op. 50 No. 2, Mazurka in A♭ major

"Vertical" slur in A1 & GE1

Conventional slur in FE & GE2

No slur in EE

..

In the main text we give the concordant notation of A1 and GE, the only authentic one. The remaining versions are inaccuracies or revisions.
