b. 730-731

composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor

No slur in A (→FEEE)

Slur in FC (→GE)

..

In the main text we keep the slur of FC (→GE), yet it is uncertain whether it was added by Chopin. Anyway, the missing slur in A is probably just an oversight (of Chopin), so it seems justified to add that slur, even if it was added by Fontana.

b. 731

composition: Op. 31, Scherzo in B♭ minor

Staccato dot in A (→FC)

No mark in FE (→EE) & GE

..

The missing staccato dot in FE (→EE) and GE must be a result of oversights. We can excuse the engraver of GE, since the dot in FC looks like the ending of the octave's stem and is hard to perceive.
