In b. 531 and 535 in the main text we give the unequivocal whole-bar slurs of A (→FC→GE). However, the longer slurs of FE (→EE) are probably a result of Chopin's proofreading: there is no visible reason for which the engraver would have complicated his work with asymmetrical slurs. In A (→FC) there are no naturals before the crotchets ending the five-note groups (a2, a1 and a). Through a proof copy of FE, this mistake also found its way to EE1 (in FE the accidentals were added in the last phase of proofreading).
