In b. 494 and 496 Chopin crossed out the sharps before c
2 in A. In fact, they are not necessary, yet in the main text we add them as cautionary accidentals. They were also added in GE2 (→GE3). In a few other places one can see that the composer inserted accidentals as if the key signature corresponded to the G minor key. He then crossed out some of them and left some others, perhaps on purpose as cautionary accidentals: cf. b. 492, 497, 500-504 and 501-503.
