Issues : Inaccuracies in FE

b. 18

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

under 4th quaver in FE (→EE)

 under 3rd quaver in GE

..

In FE, the  mark is placed inaccurately, so that it looks like it were to be valid only just from the 4th quaver. GE correctly interpreted the mark (in accordance with analogous bar 22, 26 and 30).

Slur from d2 in FE (→GE1GE2)

Slur from f2 in EE

Slur from g2 in GE3

..

The slur of FE (→GE1GE2) is most probably inaccurate – in all analogous places, the respective slur begins earlier, from the first or second semiquaver. In the main text, we adopt the former solution (introduced also in GE3) – see bar 30.

b. 33

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In FE (→GE1GE2), the slur in the R.H., which started in bar 32, does not have an ending here, i.e. on a new line. The defect was corrected in EE and GE3.

b. 53-54

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Slur in bar 54 in FE (→GE1GE2)

Slur from bar 53 in EE

Two slurs in GE3

..

The absence of a slur over the beginning of the ascending semiquaver fragment of the phrase must be considered an inaccuracy of notation, perhaps caused by the transition into a new line in FE. It results from a comparison with analogous figures – the discussed place is the only one in which those two semiquavers are not encompassed with a slur. The additions introduced both in EE and GE3 may be considered justified. In the main text, we suggest the first solution, since it is more frequent in the compared analogous bars.

b. 64-67

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Slur from bar 66 in FE (→GE1GE2)

Slur from bar 65 in EE

Slur from bar 64 in GE3

..

The slur of FE starts from the beginning of the line of text; at the same time, its beginning suggests continuation from the previous bar. That fact indicates that the initial part of the slur was overlooked, which we amend in the main text by starting the slur at the beginning of the two-part progression. The slur was identically prolonged in GE3.
