Issues : Uncertain slur continuation

b. 33

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In FE (→GE1GE2), the slur in the R.H., which started in bar 32, does not have an ending here, i.e. on a new line. The defect was corrected in EE and GE3.

Slur from bar 66 in FE (→GE1GE2)

Slur from bar 65 in EE

Slur from bar 64 in GE3

..

The slur of FE starts from the beginning of the line of text; at the same time, its beginning suggests continuation from the previous bar. That fact indicates that the initial part of the slur was overlooked, which we amend in the main text by starting the slur at the beginning of the two-part progression. The slur was identically prolonged in GE3.

No slur in FE

Slur in GE & EE

..

In FE, the missing slur is most probably an oversight related to the introduction of bass clef to the notation of f. Anyway, it must be an inaccuracy, which was corrected already in GE and EE.
Distraction of the engraver of FE is proved also by the missing initial fragment of the next slur – it is only its ending in bar 208, on a new line, that was printed.

F1 tied in FE (→EE,GE1GE2)

F1 repeated in GE3

..

In FE (→GE1GE2), the tie of F1 is present only in bar 169 (at the end of the line). EE corrected the patent defect, whereas GE3 completely omitted the tie, which is probably a mistake.

b. 432

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

..

In bar 432, on a new line of text, there is no ending of the slur started in the previous bar in FE. In GE and EE, the slur was prolonged accordingly. In FE, one can see that the discussed place initially contained a shorter slur, from the 2nd semiquaver to g1. Therefore, the target slur, compliant with the slur in the R.H., was probably meant to replace the markings that FE feature in bars 423-424.
