Fingering

b. 352

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

No fingering in sources

Fingering written into FED in bar 353

..

In the main text, we suggest a fingering digit entered into FED in an identical situation in the next bar – cf. General Editorial Principlesp. 17. An authentic (printed) fingering of the R.H. is already given in that place.

b. 352-353

composition: Op. 11, Concerto in E minor, Mvt III

Fingering written into FEH

No teaching fingering

..

The fingering of FEH partially repeats and complements the printed Chopinesque indications, determining their most natural continuation.

The fingering of FEH complements the Chopinesque entry from FED; its authenticity seems to be highly likely.

Fontana's fingering in EE

The first finger indicated by Fontana in EE only confirms the fingering scheme marked by Chopin in print.

Fingering in GE3

..

The 1st finger on the 4th semiquaver is almost certainly a mistake of FE (→EE,GE1GE2) – the digit was most probably supposed to concern the next note (d1). The mistake was corrected in FED and FEH; an appropriate change was introduced also in GE3. In the latter and in FEH, in the further part of the passage, a few digits were added, clarifying the fingering indicated by Chopin at the beginning of the bar.
