Septuplet, our alternative suggestion

..

It is unclear how 7 R.H. semiquavers should be grouped, according to Chopin. According to us, the grouping indicated by Chopin in analogous b. 15 is the most likely; a corresponding digit was added in GE. An alternative solution is a septuplet, which is a default interpretation in the face of the absence of other indications.

b. 44

composition: Op. 22, Andante spianato

Unslashed grace note in FE (→GE1,EE)

Slashed grace note in GE2 (→GE3)

..

The grace note slashed in GE2 (→GE3) is an arbitrary revision. However, it is uncertain whether the notation of the earlier sources indicates a different performance, since Chopin would sometimes not carefully differentiate between both types of grace notes, particularly in the case of small quavers.

FE feature accellerando (with doubled 'l') in this place. The mistake, certainly coming from Chopin (cf., e.g. the Impromptu in A Major, Op. 29, b. 25), was corrected both in GE and EE.
