FE does not have an accidental before the last note in the bar. In this type of situations, Chopin generally considered the previous signs placed an octave lower to be binding (e.g. like in the case of the previous note, g3), however, it was not a strict rule. Both GE and EE specified the sound of this note, yet each differently – GE added a , whereas EE1 (→EE2) – a . A comparison with similar figures in this and in the previous bar provides an argument for a3; the conclusion is confirmed by the cautionary before a3 in the next bar. The version with a3 was introduced also in EE3. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in FE , Errors in EE , GE revisions |

In GE there is no cautionary before c3. The mark was most probably added – perhaps by Chopin – in FE (→EE) in the last phase of proofreading, since no place was provided for it while laying out the text in FE. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Authentic corrections of FE |

The cautionary next to a3 was most probably added in the proofreading of FE. Since it is absent in GE, the addition was most probably introduced in the last phase of proofreading. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Cautionary accidentals , FE revisions |

GE includes a superfluous cautionary next to g2. Initially, the natural was also in FE, but it was removed in the last proofreading. The sign is present also in EE2 (→EE3), which may be explained by GE being used at the time of revising EE2. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Cautionary accidentals , FE revisions |
