When interpreted literally, the  sign in A (→GE1→FE) suggests pressing pedal on the 5th, 6th or even 7th quaver in the bar. According to us, it is an inaccurate notation – Chopin had already little space under the note and writing the sign before would be even more misleading. According to us, it is EE that interpreted the composer's intention correctly.

In all copies of GE1a, the discussed sign was overlooked as a result of an inaccurately performed graphic proofreading of bars 235-236.

In A (→GE1→FE) there is no  lowering g2 to g2. The patent inaccuracy was corrected in EE and GE2. EE added also a  before f3, unnecessary according to the rules of validity of accidentals back then.

In A there are no flats lowering g1 to g1 at the beginning of bar 241 and at the end of bar 242. The first of them was added already in GE1 (→FE→EE, →GE2), the second one – only in EE.

Three necessary accidentals are missing in A – flats lowering g1 to g1 in bar 246, c3 to c3 in bar 247 and c1 to c1 in bar 248. These patent inaccuracies were corrected in GE (→FE→EE).

Three necessary accidentals are missing in A – flats lowering g1 to g1 in bar 250, c3 to c3 in bar 251 and c4 to c4 in bar 252. The first of them was added in GE1 (→FE→EE, →GE2), whereas the third – in EE and GE2. The flat in bar 251 is not featured in any of the sources.
