Short accent in GE1

No marks in FE

Short accents next to  in EE

Long accent in GE2

According to us, all omitted and shortened accents in GE and FE are random inaccuracies. Moving the accents closer to  is a completely arbitrary revision of EE, unifying all these bars with the notation of analogous bars 29-32 (also erroneous) – see bars 369-375

GE1 (→FE) overlooked , which is a patent mistake. The sign was added in GE2, whereas in EE –  and an accent (see bars 369-375), same as in the adjacent bars.

Small notes in bars 374-375 in A & GE2

Regular notes in GE1

Small notes separately, in bar 376 d1-f1 in FE1

c1-f1 in bar 376 in FE2

Regular notes in EE

The absence of the c1-f1 fourth in bar 376 is probably Chopin's oversight; he then added it while proofreading FE (FE1 added d1-f1, erroneously, which was corrected to c1-f1 in FE2). At the time of performing this proofreading, the composer also introduced a more transparent, two-voice notation of all three chords, in which only the top note belongs to the solo part. EE repeated the text of FE2, without preserving the differences in the size of the notes, though. In almost all subsequent collective editions, the dyads of the accompaniment were erroneously included in the solo part (on the basis of GE1).

Wedge in A

Dot in GE2

The omission of the wedge must be an oversight of GE1 (→FEEE). The staccato sign – in the form of a dot – was added in GE2.

Our variant suggestion

..

The absence of the bottom note in GE1 (→FEEE) may be considered an oversight of the engraver of Chopin's proofreading – in similar bar 48, there is a sole aas the grace note.
In GE1, the head of the grace note is placed at the right pitch, but the ledger line was overlooked.
