b. 48

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

The middle note of the 2nd chord in GE1 (→FE1) is an erroneous b(instead of cpresent in A). The mistake was corrected in FE2 (→EE).

b. 48

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

..

A has an aas the lowest note in the 3rd chord. Chopin's mistake is proved by gin the clarinet part in Morch as well as by a comparison with analogous bar 392. The mistake was corrected, perhaps by Chopin, already in GE1 (→FEEE, →GE2).

No markings in sources

Dots & slurs suggested by the editors

In the main text we suggest adding articulation markings – dots and slurs – in the places where the homogeneous rhythm and character of the parts of both hands are beyond doubt.

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt III

No slur in sources

Slur suggested by the editors

..

In the main text we add a slur for the 1st bassoon part, equivalent to the flute and clarinet parts, embraced with a slur in the part of the R.H. In A, a corresponding slur is present in analogous bars 396-397.

Slur in sources

Slur suggested by the editors after Morch

..

The slur of A is most probably inaccurate, since there is no reason to separate the last note of the phrase, played by the wind quartet and provided with one continuous slur in Morch. Therefore, in the main text we suggest a slur corresponding to the phrasing written in the parts of violin I and clarinet I in Morch.
