Issues : Errors repeated in GE

b. 105-107

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In the sources there is no  returning on the 7th quaver in bar 105. Similarly, in bar 107 Chopin overlooked a  before f1. Those patent mistakes were undiscovered both by the revisers of the editions (in total 7 proofreadings in 3 editions) and by Chopin himself, who had to look at those places at least once, when, proofreading FE1, he added slurs embracing the discussed notes in both bars.

b. 107-108

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In A (→GE1FEEE1EE2) there is neither a  returning ain bar 107 nor a cautionary  before ein bar 108. In GE2 only the first was added and in EE3 – only the second.
In analogous bars 105-106, Chopin wrote in A both signs, which suggests that at the time of writing a repeating phrase, the composer's concentration broke (cf. bar 107). It increases the likelihood of oversights of ties at the end of bar 108.

b. 117-118

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

None of the sources returned bin bar 117 and bin bar 118, which is a patent oversight. In turn, EE added cautionary flats before the next semiquaver in both bars, b2 and brespectively. We include the second of the signs in the main text.

b. 139

composition: Op. 21, Concerto in F minor, Mvt I

..

In A Chopin overlooked the  returning d2. The patent error was corrected in EE2 (→EE3) and GE2. A flat was added also – probably by Chopin – in FED.

The first note in the top voice in A (→GE1FEEE) is an erroneous double dotted quaver. Moreover, the assignment of the middle note in the 1st chord is unclear; e2 – the head, devoid of a stem, could be combined with ain the top voice (as in the previous bar) or with din the bottom one (as in analogous bar 170). The editions repeated the layout of the previous bar, at the same time assimilating the value of ewith a2. The editors of mUltimate Chopin are inclined to the second possibility, suggesting in the main text a solution fully analogous with the version from the exposition.
