In the main text we suggest adding pedalling after indications added by Chopin in the proofreading of FE in analogous bar 138. Such an addition was introduced already in EE.

FE has an erroneous g as the last quaver in the L.H. In EE the mistake was corrected, most probably on the basis of comparison with analogous bar 139.

In A (→GE1→FE) there are no accidentals in the last group of semiquavers. In EE the necessary  returning f2 on the last semiquaver was added, whereas in GE2 and EE3 two cautionary flats at the beginning of this group, before b2 and a2 (in the main text we include only the first one).

In FE (→EE1→EE2) there is no  raising a1 to a1 before the 2nd semiquaver. Chopin added a  in FED; the correct text was introduced also in EE3.

In GE1 (→FE) there is none of the three staccato dots written in A (under both bass notes and over the top most note in the R.H.), which is undoubtedly a mistake. EE added the signs in the L.H. (also in the next bar), most probably on the basis of comparison with the corresponding bar of the exposition. GE2 reproduced the notation of A.
