b. 112-114

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In GC the second quaver in the R.H. is written too low in all of these bars, so it could be interpreted as an or F. The respective notes in the L.H. allow to guess the correct text, although in bar 113, the note in the L.H. is also written incorrectly as an A1. The remaining sources – including GE, based on GC – feature the correct text.

b. 115

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

Similarly as in bar 107, in GC, FE1 (→FE2FE3,EE1) there is no  raising b to b. The sign was added in GE, FE4 and EE2.

In GC the sign is placed in the middle of the first half of the bar, so that it seems to refer to the e1 quaver. Such a placement is most probably inaccurate, and in GE1 the sign was shifted farther left, which is plainly wrong. GE2 restored the GC version. In the main text, we give the undoubtedly correct version of FE (→EE).

B in GC & FE (→EE1)

in GE & EE2

..

GC and FE (→EE1) do not include an accidental before the bass note, which makes it to be interpreted as a B. The version, present certainly also in [A], is given by us in the main text, with a cautionary . The version of GE, in spite of being most probably a result of a routine editorial revision (until this place the development is maintained in sharp keys and is present also in the next bar), may be, however, considered an alternative authentic version in this case – according to Mikuli, Chopin added a corresponding  in a copy of his pupil, Friederike Müller-Streicher (information from the Mikuli edition of Sonatas, Kistner, Leipzig 1879).

b. 121-122

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

In the main text, we add flats before e2 in bar 121 and b1 in bar 122, as it was done in GE and EE2.
