b. 70-71

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

Slur from the beginning of bar 71 in GC, FE & GE2

Slur from the end of bar 70 in GE1

Slur from the middle of bar 71 in EE

..

Both the earlier division of the slurs in GE1 and the later beginning of the slur in EE are undoubtedly misreadings of their Stichvorlagen.

b. 106-107

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I

..

In b. 106 and 107, some or all bottom voice rests were overlooked in various sources:

  • both rests in b. 106 in FE;
  • the crotchet rest in b. 107 in GE;
  • all four rests in EE.

They seem to be the engravers' oversights (in EE and GE, it is also revisions that are likely – cf. b. 115). GC is provided with a detailed two-part notation, which we give in the main text.
