b. 169

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt I
..
In the main text we reproduce the little slur running from the grace note in the version of GC, in this case probably closest to [A]. The little slur can be, according to us, interpreted as a conventional sign, by playing the grace note and the fifth, or as a B1-B-f arpeggio. The notation of FE (→EE) is most probably inaccurate (cf. the adjacent note), whereas of GE – routinely revised; at the same time, both eliminate the possibility of a double interpretation. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in FE , GE revisions |

The curved line before the grace note and the chord, written in GC (→GE), means an arpeggio in this context. No sign in FE (→EE) is most probably an oversight of the engraver. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources |

The FE1 version is erroneous. This can be inferred from the concordance of GC and FE2, corrected after [A]. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Authentic corrections of FE |
