No g1 in the chord is most probably a result of an oversight of the note by the engraver of FE1. The mistake was corrected already in FE2. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , FE revisions |

The slurring of particular sources seems to convey Chopin's idea only approximately. In the main text, we suggest an interpretation of the slurs of GC based on the slurs written in a more precise manner in analogous bars 57-60. FE1 (→FE2) features an E as the 1st note in the L.H. This striking mistake was corrected only in FE3 (→FE4) and EE. In spite of the fact that it was Chopin that prepared both the proofreading of FE3 and the base text to EE, this kind of correction could have been prepared also by a reviser. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Authentic corrections of FE , Authentic corrections of EE |

The version of FE1 (→FE2) is certainly erroneous. Chopin (most probably) corrected it, while proofreading FE3 (→FE4) and while performing the base text to EE. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Terzverschreibung error , Authentic corrections of FE , Authentic corrections of EE |
