Issues : Errors of A

b. 108

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

g-d1 in GC & FE1 (→FE2)

b-d1 in GE, FE3 (→FE4) & EE

..

The compatible versions of GC and FE1 (→FE2) prove that such a notation was also in [A]. Chopin's highly likely mistake, probably related to the introduction of an enhanced version of the transition to the next phrase (it may be supposed that bar 108 was originally a repetition of bar 107, same as in two previous similar phrases), is proved by awkward in this context parallel A-a and G-g octaves, and, above all, Chopin proofreading of FE3 (→FE4) and base text to EE. The version of GE, in spite of being compatible with the authentic corrections, is most probably a luckily guessed revision, based on bar 128.

b. 130

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

c1-g1 in GE & EE, possible interpretation of GC & FE1 (→FE2FE3)

c1-a1 in FE4

..

On the 2nd crotchet GC and the previous impressions of FE include in the R.H. the clearly erroneous c1-g1. As in the respective place of the previous bar there was c1-gin a similar context, it seems to be required to add a  raising g1 to g1. The addition was actually introduced in EE and GE. However, in the proofreading of FE4 a different changes was performed – g1 was replaced with a1. Both EE and FE4 bear traces of Chopin's intervention, so that each of these versions can be authentic. On the other hand, both sources include changes indicating a revision, hence it is not certain whether and which of them actually comes from Chopin.
In the main text we suggest the version of FE4 due to the unquestionable text at the repetition of this place (bar 170). Cf. bar 131

b. 168

composition: Op. 35, Sonata in B♭ minor, Mvt II

..

In GC the bar is written in an abbreviated manner as repetition of the previous one. At the same time, one can see that initially the bar was completely overlooked, whereas a relevant abbreviation was written as an addition. It cannot be excluded that the mistake (or unclear notation) was also in [A]. If so, Chopin had to write a respective addition also there, as FE contains the correct number of bars.
