Tie and slur in GE, contextual interpretation

FE (→EE1EE2), contextual interpretation

EE3, contextual interpretation

..

GE lacks the ending of the tie sustaining f sharp2 into bar 88 that opens a new line of text in the sources. In FE (→EE1EE2) the tie from bar  87 was "finished" by beginning the phrasing slur in bar 88 clearly before the 1st note. That version is definitely erroneous (see bars 20-21). In EE3, the ending of the tie sustaining f sharp2was added in bar 88 to the inaccurately started slur, which brought the notation closer to the correct text.

No sign in GE (→FE)

 in EE

..

The sign  added in EE is certainly an arbitrary revision introduced on the basis of similar passages.

b. 92

composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor

..

GE (→FE) has an unnecessary before d in the 2nd sextuplet. This may be the result of literal reading of the abbreviation with which Chopin marked the repeat of the first sextuplet in [A]. That superfluous accidental was removed in EE.

Accents > in GE (→FE)

Accents ^ in EE

..

In EE, the shape of the last four accents in bar 93 was arbitrarily changed. We adopt the notation of GE (→FE). Cf. bar 69.

before g1 in GE (→FE)

No accidental in EE

Correct text: e1

..

GE (→FE) has  placed before g1. The accidental—pointless in that position—was removed iIn EE. In the main text we shift to its correct position (before e1) in keeping with the obvious harmonic sense. Due to the lack of [A] it is impossible to say wether this is an engraver's error or the accidental was inaccurately placed in the autograph.
