b. 87-88
|
composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor
..
GE lacks the ending of the tie sustaining f sharp2 into bar 88 that opens a new line of text in the sources. In FE (→EE1→EE2) the tie from bar 87 was "finished" by beginning the phrasing slur in bar 88 clearly before the 1st note. That version is definitely erroneous (see bars 20-21). In EE3, the ending of the tie sustaining f sharp2was added in bar 88 to the inaccurately started slur, which brought the notation closer to the correct text. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , Inaccuracies in GE |

b. 96-98
|
composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor
..
FE (→EE) omitted a dashed line marking the extent of the indication rallentando. Similarly to other passages (cf. eg. bars 33-36 and 54-60) it is most probably an oversight. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE |

b. 100-101
|
composition: Op. 27 No 1, Nocturne in C# minor
..
FE (→EE1→EE2) omitted both slurs encompassing two last chords of the Nocturne. It is difficult to say wether it was an oversight, or the engraver of FE left the slurs out regarding them as misplaced ties. Moreover, EE1 (→EE2) misunderstood the authentic division of the voices indicating the pianistically natural execution with e-g played by R.H., and G-c by L.H. In EE3 the undoubtedy correct GE version was reinstated. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE |
