The continuous slur introduced in later GE, in spite of being musically justified, is, however, contrary to the notation of A and the remaining editions. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: GE revisions |

composition: Op. 64 No 3, Waltz in A♭ major

In the main text we include an additional slur of c2-b1, probably added by Chopin in a proofreading of FE. The sign was overlooked, probably accidentally, in GE1Ab (→GE2Ab). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in GE , Authentic corrections of FE |

b. 99
|
composition: Op. 64 No 3, Waltz in A♭ major
..
The slur over the pair of chords could have been added by Chopin in the proofreading of FE. In GE1Ab it was moved under the chords, as a result of which it can be considered to be a tie of f1. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Placement of markings , GE revisions , Authentic corrections of FE |

b. 121-122
|
composition: Op. 64 No 3, Waltz in A♭ major
..
The missing slur in the L.H. in GE is most probably a result of an inaccuracy of the engraver of FE, who overlooked this sign (A is poorly legible in this place due to deletions). In the last proofreading of FE (→EE), the slur was added, probably by Chopin. category imprint: Interpretations within context; Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Authentic corrections of FE |
