b. 36

composition: Op. 25 No 6, Etude in G♯ minor

..

Same as previously, in FE, EE1 and GE1, the abbreviated notation of FC and remaining Stichvorlage manuscripts were misinterpreted in FE, EE1 and GE1, which gave the 2nd, 3rd and 4th group of semiquavers without any accidentals. The mistake was corrected in EE2 (→EE3) and GE2 (→GE3).

b. 36-37

No slur in FC (→GE1)

Slur in FE, EE & GE2 (→GE3)

..

The missing slur over the D-G quavers in FC (→GE1) at the transition between bars 36-37 can be most easily explained with an oversight of the copyist. The slur was added in GE2 (→GE3), most probably on the basis of analogy with bars 40-41, the only in which FC (→GE1) has a slur in a similar situation.
