b. 1-14

composition: Op. 25 No 2, Etude in F minor

No unauthentic fingering

Fingering added in EE2 (→EE3)

..

Nothing indicates a possible, even partial authenticity of the fingering added in EE2 (→EE3). Therefore, differently than in the Etudes, Op. 10, in which the author of the fingering was Chopin's friend, Julian Fontana, we give them in italics in a smaller font.

b. 4

composition: Op. 25 No 2, Etude in F minor

..

In AW, GC, FE and EE1 (→EE2), there is no  returning b2. This characteristic for Chopin mistake was corrected in the remaining sources. In the repetition of this phrase in bar 23 the error appears only in AW, in which the repetition is not written with notes.

b. 14

composition: Op. 25 No 2, Etude in F minor

 in AW

No sign in CDP, GC (→GE) & EE1 (→EE2)

 in FE

 in EE3

..

The  hairpins (and corresponding  in bar 15) were probably added by Chopin in a proofreading of FE. The sign in EE3, despite being generally compatible with authentic indications of AW and FE, is undoubtedly an addition of revision.
