b. 54

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

No mark in AI & FE (→EE2)

Wedge in GE & EE3 (→EE4)

Our suggestion

..

In the main text we suggest to add a wedge after the authentic mark in analogous bar 4. The wedge was already added in GE and EE3 (→EE4).

Fingering in EE

..

The fingering of EE, except for the last numeral in bar 65, repeated after analogous bars 13-15 (although marked less precisely), comes from Fontana.

b. 66-68

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

No slur in AI

Two-bar slur in FE (→GE,EE2)

Three-bar slur in EE3 (→EE4)

..

In this context, the missing slur in bar 68 must be considered as inaccuracy of notation. Therefore, in the main text we suggest to extend the slur from bars 66-67. A similar interpretation of slurring was already performed by the reviser of EE3 (→EE4).
