b. 46

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

 in AI

GE1 (→GE2GE3)

No sign in GE4 (→GE5)

..

According to us, the  hairpins written by Chopin in AI render his intention better than the perhaps inaccurate mark of FE. Shortening the mark in GE1 (→GE2GE4) and EE gives it a rank of a local detail, not directly related to  in the next bar. It can serve as an inspiration to the performer, yet it does not result from the notation of FE, not to mention the notation of AI.

b. 46

No indication in AI

Lack of the con forza indication in AI may be related to the presence of accents.

b. 47-49

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

..

In AI Chopin wrote the 12th semiquaver in bars 47-48 (and in bar 49, marked as repetition of bar 48) as f1. In FE (→GE,EE) the note is written as g1, as a result of which the next note has to be provided with a .

b. 47-48

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

e1 in AI & FE (→EE,GE1GE1aGE2GE3)

e1 in GE4 (→GE5)

..

In AI and FE (→EE,GE1GE2GE3) there is no  before the last semiquaver in these bars. It is most probably a mistake by Chopin, as there is no reason to change the figuration contour so clearly here, in addition, suggesting the C major key. The inaccuracy was not noticed and corrected until GE4 (→GE5).

b. 47

composition: Op. 10 No 4, Etude in C♯ minor

..

In AI and FE there is no  before the bottom note of the octave, which is a patent inaccuracy. GE and EE have the correct text.
