b. 54-55

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

 in A (→GE1)

 in FE (→EE) and GE2 (→GE3)

..

The mark   in A (→GE1) reaches the crotchet g1. In FE (→EE) it was reproduced inaccurately, its extent shortened by a quaver. A similar change was introduced in GE2 (→GE3); perhaps the ink blot at the end of the hairpins in A was interpreted as their shortening by Chopin.

b. 55

composition: Op. 24 No. 1, Mazurka in G minor

A staccato dot in A and GE2 (→GE3)

No dot in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The staccato mark written in A was overlooked in  GE1 (→FEEE). The inaccuracy was corrected in GE2 (→GE3).
