Lack of a in the 1st chord in the editions is most probably a result of a mistake of the engraver of FE. Cf. bars 7 and 39.

It is hard to determine what prompted Chopin (?) to enharmonically change the correct orthography of A to a simplified notation of FE (→GE,EE). In the main text we give the notation of A.
