In bar 71 the missing  mark after  is not striking in A, in which the pedalling is not precisely indicated. However, in FE (→GE,EE) Chopin added indications in adjacent bars, hence in the main text we suggest the moment of the pedal's release (change) in accordance with the harmonic flow. In EE and GE2 (→GE3→GE4), the  mark was added earlier, at the end of bar 71.

The additional crotchet stem, written in A, was omitted in FE (→GE,EE). Most probably, it is a result of an inaccurate reading of the manuscript.

Chopin added the pedalling of these bars while proofreading FE (→GE,EE). We add the  mark, omitted in FE (→GE1) in bar 75, in accordance with the harmonic sense. The addition was also performed in EE and GE2 (→GE3→GE4), yet adding the  mark earlier, already in the middle of the bar.

In the main text we give the notation of A, in which the sustained c note does not raise any doubts. In spite of this, in FE the tie was inaccurately reproduced (only in bar 78 in the new line of the text) and with a mistake (it reaches F), so that in none of the remaining editions the correct text was guessed. We consider the version of GE and EE4 to be a natural interpretation of FE.
