The slurring in the L.H. in bar 55 was added by Chopin during a proofreading of FE (→GE,EE). Lack of relevant addition in bar 56 in FE (→GE1) must be considered as the composer's oversight. The slurs modeled on the slurs in the R.H. were added in GE2 (→GE3→GE4), while EE repeats the slurring of the previous bar (see also the note to bar 56).
