In FE1, due to the division of the text into great staves, the slurring in bars 66-67 is unclear – the slur in bar 66 does not exceed the last quaver, but the slur in bar 67 suggests a continuation from the previous bar. According to us, it is more probable that Chopin meant here a continuous slur, which is proven by both the upper slur of GE and a consistent slurring of all figures which can be assumed as similar in Prelude – bars 1-5, 6-7 and analogous, 8-9 and analogous. In spite of that, both in FE2 and EE1 the notation of FE1 was interpreted as separate slurs; moreover, which is probably contrary to the notation of [A1], the slur in bar 66 was moved under the notes.
The slurs of GE follow the probably slightly different edition of that place in [A2], although also in this case we may suppose that the lower slur was moved under the notes by the engraver. However, we can consider that version as an alternative for the one proposed in the main text.
The version of EE2 is a compilation of the notation of EE1 and GE.
