FE (→EE1) and GE differ significantly, as far as the dynamic markings in bars 33-35 are concerned. The more precisely written down version of GE most probably matches the notation of the latter of two autographs of Prelude, [A2]. Actually, the version of FE does not precisely indicate all the details, yet it seems to describe basically the same or a very similar dynamic concept. Due to this fact, in the main text we consider only the first of those versions. In EE2 there is a compilation of the markings from FE and GE.
