b. 28

composition: WN 17, Polonaise in B♭ major

..

The cautionary  before a, visible in JC and EF, is unjustified here. Chopin could have written it, while hearing in advance the a on the 6th quaver and the introduced in the next bar C minor key.

b. 29

composition: WN 17, Polonaise in B♭ major

JC has an erroneous a1 (with a ) as the lower note of the 1st third. In this manuscript, there is a  before the lower note of the 3rd third (b1).

b. 32-33

composition: WN 17, Polonaise in B♭ major

..

The flats before d and g in the part of the L.H. are included in PE (all of them) and JC (apart from d in bar 33). They are not present in EF. The use of signs in such a context is exclusively a question of convention, hence we preserve the notation of the base source.
