In the main text we give a single slur embracing bars 21-25, after EE and FE. In that latter edition, there are traces of slur correction made in print - initially the slur ended in bar 24 on the B
2-B1 minim. GC (→GE) also have the shorter slur, yet it is supplemented with an additional slur linking the two last octaves of the motif. That version, definitely authentic, may be considered an alternative solution.
