Issues : Last key signature sign

b. 445

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

In EE and GC (→GE) there is  before d2, which seems redundant. In FE the accidental was rather erroneously placed  before f2.

b. 447

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Three-note chord in EE

Five-note chord in GC (→GE) & FE

Notation without cautionary

..

EE is most probably original. We cannot completely rule out chance omission of the chord elements written out on the bottom stave (a-h second is notated in the same way in the remaining sources).

In the main text we omit the redundant cautionary  before das it had no practical application.

b. 470-472

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

 d3 in EE & GC (→GE)

No accidentals in FE

..

In FE no naturals lowering dto d3 in b. 470 or d2 to d2 in b. 472 must be seen as errors, which is further confirmed by their lack in GC, despite the fact that Chopin personally filled them in. Naturals in EE may have been added based on the previous three corresponding occurrences of this phrase (bars 176, 220 and 308). Sharps in bars 445447466 also show that  Chopin was not sure over a longer phrase if  (d) belonged to the key signature.

b. 505-509

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Disregarding the first chord, in EE there is no  lowering all d to in different octaves. This was the exact copyist's notation of GC, however Chopin added five out of thirteen nevessary accidentals. The notation of FE and GE is completely correct.
