b. 71

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

..

Missing in FE is  raising A1 to A sharp1 in the 2nd octave of the L.H., which is a patent error.

b. 86

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

Octave c-c1 in EE

cin GC (→GE) and FE

..

There is no reason to doubt the authenticity of any of those two versions; it is however impossible to find out whether at a certain moment Chopin replaced one of them with the other. We give precedence to the version of  GC (→GE) and FE, as it produces a fuller rhythmic analogy with bars 82-83. The same applies to the analogous bar 428.

b. 87

composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor

a1 in EE and GC (→GE)

a1 in FE

Missing in FE is the sharp raising a1 to a sharp1. This is probably an accidental omission. The same applies to bar 429.
