b. 407-415
|
composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor
..
In EE there are cautionary neutrals before a-a1 octave in bars 407-415. This may well be an editorial revision, similar to bars 65-73. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Cautionary accidentals |

b. 440
|
composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor
..
Cautionary sharps before d1 and d2 in EE must be arbitrary additions as they cannot be found in any other sources. Compare b. 445. category imprint: Source & stylistic information issues: EE revisions , Cautionary accidentals |

b. 445
|
composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor
..
In EE and GC (→GE) there is before d2, which seems redundant. In FE the accidental was rather erroneously placed before f2. category imprint: Source & stylistic information issues: Errors in FE , Cautionary accidentals , Last key signature sign |

b. 447
|
composition: Op. 39, Scherzo in C♯ minor
..
EE is most probably original. We cannot completely rule out chance omission of the chord elements written out on the bottom stave (a-h second is notated in the same way in the remaining sources). In the main text we omit the redundant cautionary before d3 as it had no practical application. category imprint: Differences between sources |
