Tied e flat1 in A and GE2 (→GE3)

Untied e flat1 in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The crotchet stem and the tie for e flat1, present in A, were omitted in GE1 (→FEEE). The mistake was corrected in GE2 (→GE3).

Pedalling in A (→GE2GE3)

No pedal marks in GE1 (→FEEE)

The editors'  alternative proposition

..

In A (→GE2GE3),  is placed after the 3rd crotchet. In GE1 (→FEEE), pedal marks were entirely omitted, which is definitely an error. In our opinion, the notation of A may be inaccurate, that is why we propose earlier pedal release as in analogous bars 13, 37, 45.

A long accent in A

A reversed accent mark in GE1 (→FE)

No mark in EE

A short accent in GE2

A short accent in GE3

..

The long accent written by Chopin in A was reversed in GE1 (→FE) so that it resembles small crescendo hairpins. In EE that reversed mark, difficult to understand in the context, was omitted altogether. GE2 introduced a short accent, yet assigned it to the sixth in the L.H. That latter inaccuracy was corrected in GE3

A very probable long accent in A

No accent mark in GE1 (→FEEE)

Possibly a short accent in A (→GE2GE3)

..

The type of accent used by Chopin in A is not quite obvious, yet both its shape and the comparison with analogous bars (120 and 122) clearly point to a long accent. In GE1 (→FEEE) the accent was omitted and in GE2 (→GE3) a short one was added.

A phrasing slur in A (→GE2GE3)

No slur in GE1 (→FEEE)

..

The phrasing slur in bars 139-140 can only be found in A (→GE2GE3). The omission of that slur in GE1 (→FEEE) is an error probably resulting from the notation of A, in which the slur partially overlaps with the word sempre.
