b. 108-111

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

 in A and GE3

GE1 (→FEEE)

..

In bars 108-111 in A, the pedal release marks are written before the 3rd crotchet of the L.H. In GE1 (→FEEE were placed after the 3rd crotchet, which is definitely an error considering the changing harmonies in bars 108 and 110. In GE2, three out of four marks were moved, yet conformity with the notation of A was only retained in bar 108. Full conformity with A was restored in GE3.

b. 108

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

..

There is no numeral 3 over the triplet in A (→GE1FE). Its absence, although not causing any misunderstanding, is nonetheless a notation error. The numeral was added in EE and GE2 (→GE3).

b. 110

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

No accent mark in A (→GE1FEEE)

A short accent in GE2 (→GE3)

Our proposition

..

In A (→GE1FEEE) there is no accent on the 3rd beat of the bar, which seems to be a mistake in notation since there are accents in all the analogous bars. Therefore we suggest adding a long accent in that place. A similar thing was done in GE2 (→GE3).

b. 111

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

No accent mark in A (→GE1FEEE)

A short accent in GE2 (→GE3)

The editors' alternative proposition

..

In GE2 (→GE3) an accent (short) was added above a flat2 at the beginning of the bar. Such a revision may seem justified by accents in analogous bars 107 and 109. Therefore we admit the possibility of adding an accent (long) following the pattern of the above-mentioned bars.
