composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

The accent on the 2nd crotchet of the L.H. visible in A was misinterpreted in GE1 (→FE) as short hairpins . The proper form of that mark was restored in GE2 (→GE3). EE also has that accent, but moved under the stave. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: EE revisions , Inaccuracies in GE |

b. 108-111

composition: Op. 24 No. 4, Mazurka in B♭ minor

In bars 108-111 in A, the pedal release marks are written before the 3rd crotchet of the L.H. In GE1 (→FE→EE) were placed after the 3rd crotchet, which is definitely an error considering the changing harmonies in bars 108 and 110. In GE2, three out of four marks were moved, yet conformity with the notation of A was only retained in bar 108. Full conformity with A was restored in GE3. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |

In the main text we give the most probable reading of the slur in A. In GE (→FE→EE) the slur was stretched to embrace full beats. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE |

The slur in A begins on a semiquaver, along with the melodic narrative. In GE1 (→FE→EE) it begins over the dotted crotchet, and in GE2 (→GE3) it starts at the beginning of the bar. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Inaccuracies in GE , GE revisions |
