No marking in A (→GEFE)

in EE & IE

[] suggested by the editors

In this context, the absence of a  mark in A (→GEFE) is rather supposed to be considered an inaccuracy. According to us, Chopin could have hesitated whether to hold the pedal until the change of chord on the 4th beat or slightly earlier due to the change in the R.H. topmost voice. The additional crotchet stem next to E on the 3rd beat is an argument for an earlier pedal release, which we include in our main text suggestion. A  asterisk was also added by EE and IE, more or less in accordance with our suggestion.
