  b. 75-76

Slur to d in A, literal reading

No slur in GE (→FE,EE,IE)

Slur to B suggested by the editors

When interpreted literally, the A slur must be inaccurate – unfinished – as many other slurs in this manuscripts (cf., e.g. mov. I, bars 182-183 or mov. IV, bars 350-351). At the same time, it does not matter whether we regard it as reaching d or c. Therefore, one can understand why the GE engraver did not include this slur (unless it was a mere oversight). In the main text we suggest a slur modelled after analogous bars 73-74.
