  b. 63

2 short accents in FC & FE (→EE)

1 short accent in GE1

Long & short accent in GE2

2 long accents suggested by the editors

We justify the long accents suggested in the main text by inaccuracies in the reproduction of such accents in other pieces by Chopin both by Fontana (cf., e.g. the Scherzo in B minor, Op. 31, bars 42-43) and by FE.
The absence of an accent in bar 63 must be a mistake by GE1, corrected in GE2 by adding a long accent.
