b. 36-37
|
composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor
..
In FC the slur at the end of bar 36 (which ends the line) may suggest that it should be continued, which, however, is not confirmed by the slur in bar 37. We consider the unequivocal beginning of the slur in bar 37 to be reliable. Due to this ambiguity, and also due to the earlier decision concerning the slurring in bars 32-33, in the main text we continue the FE slur. In analogous bars 44-45 all sources feature a continuous slur. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources |

b. 36-52
|
composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor
..
The absence of the slurs combining the semiquaver with the chord in bars 36 and 38 in FE (→EE) is most probably an oversight by the engraver of FE (in EE the slur in bar 52 was overlooked too). category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors in FE , Errors in EE |

b. 43-44
|
composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor
..
The separated slurs of GE are a missed interpretation of the incoherent notation of FC, in which the slur at the end of the line (bar 43) does not point to continuation, while the slur in bar 44 does. We consider a continuous slur (as in FE) to be the text of FC. category imprint: Graphic ambiguousness; Differences between sources |

b. 54-62
|
composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor
..
In bars 54, 56-57 and 62 particular sources do not include some of the slurs linking the semiquaver to the chord. A comparison of the versions suggests that both in FC and FE at least one slur present in [A] was left out. On the other hand, both in EE and GE the texts of the bases were revised by adding slurs, yet none of them did it consistently. category imprint: Differences between sources; Editorial revisions issues: EE revisions , Errors in FE , GE revisions , Errors of FC |

b. 63-64
|
composition: Op. 30 No. 4, Mazurka in C# minor
..
The shorter slur of FC (→GE) resulted from inattention – most probably of the copyist, or perhaps of Chopin in [A] – who did not write the ending of the slur in a new line. category imprint: Differences between sources issues: Errors of FC |
