b. 50-55

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

..

In this entire phrase, kept in the key of F minor, Chopin overlooked 5 naturals raising g notes (in various octaves) to g:

  • g1 in bars 50 and 53,
  • g in bars 51 and 54,
  • g2 in bar 55.

In EE accidentals were added in bars 53 and 55, while in GE all except in bar 53.

b. 55

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

Rest in FC (contextual interpretation→GE)

Chord in FE (→EE)

..

The third beat in the L.H. part remained unfilled in FC. In GE a crotchet rest was inserted here; however, the FE (→EE) version shows that it was a g-b-e1 chord that was overlooked.

b. 56

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

..

In FC there is no  to the top note of the L.H. chord on the 2nd beat of the bar (e1). The patent oversight – by the copyist or by Chopin – was corrected in GE; the correct text is also in FE (→EE).

b. 57

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

..

In the main text we add cautionary flats to Gg1-e2 and e1. Both accidentals in the R.H. were also added in GE, together with a  to g. By contrast, in EE the version of the L.H. chords is wrong – there are naturals to the first one, hence their pitch is as follows: g-b-e1. It is most probably a mistake consisting in adding accidentals present before seemingly identical chords 2 bars earlier.

b. 61-62

composition: Op. 30, Mazurka in D♭ major

..

In the main text we add cautionary flats to d2 in bar 61 and to the d1-b1 sixth in bar 62. It was also GE that added accidentals to the sixth. The same in bars 69-70.
